If you’re a real Superfan you’ll know all about the OGAE Eurovision Fan clubs (aka Organisation Générale des Amateurs de l’Eurovision) which boasts a network of around 40 Eurovision Song Contest fan clubs worldwide. Any country that has participated can form a ‘local’ fan club and one of the key benefits is that a number of show tickets for the final are reserved for fan club members … or ESC-fans as they call themselves.
We took a look at the OGAE UK website and discovered that the UK’s national club has over 2000 members which makes it the biggest OGAE club in the universe! Us Brits are totally committed to the cause! If you join (there’s an annual fee) you receive regular magazines, email newsletters and even opportunities to attend Eurovision-themed events. They also hold an annual ‘EuroBash’ convention where members get together, maybe meet a few special guests, and finish up with a Eurovision disco. It’s hard not to imagine that their disco is just as colourful and crazy as the show itself.
So, here’s our super-hard Eurovision Song Contest quiz with multiple choice answers for superfans … or ESC-fans as we now know them.
